OUR STORY
Shy Coyote Farm is a small scale vegetable production farm in South Texas. The farm is a collaborative effort shared by Margaret Baker and Joshua Pitney, who have over a decade of combined experience in agriculture.
In 2022 we took the plunge and started farming on our own. We are dedicated to growing vibrant healthy crops, improving soil health, and promoting a thriving ecosystem on our small property. We grow everything from seed, mix our own soil, have a composting program, and rely minimally on outsourced organic inputs. Beyond our sustainable practices we also seed and plant our crops in accordance with the biodynamic calendar. Although we are not organic certified we follow all of the same practices and go even further. We do not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, all of our crops are GMO free, and we use soil building with compost and organic chicken manure as fertilizer.
When we are not sweating it out in the field or vending at market you can find us camping and fishing, playing music, painting, or snuggled up with our dogs!
We sell a wide variety of seasonal vegetables and eggs from our flock of well loved, free range chickens.
Come see us Saturdays at the New Braunfels Farmers Market from 9AM til 1PM, and Sundays at Budaful Farmers Market from 10am to 2pm!
Or you can contact us for a current wholesale price list!
