Sustainably Grown - Heirloom Varieties
Located in Adkins, Texas
OUR STORY
Shy Coyote Farm is a small scale vegetable production farm in Adkins, Texas, established in 2022!
The farm is a collaborative effort shared by Maggie Baker and Josh Pitney, who have decades of combined experience in agriculture, natural resource management, environmental education, livestock husbandry, and community building.
We are dedicated to growing vibrant healthy crops, improving soil quality, and promoting ecological health for our farm and the surrounding communities. Feeding people and providing nutritious food is our priority. We grow non-GMO crops from seed, have a composting program, and rely minimally on outsourced organic inputs. Beyond our sustainable practices we also seed and plant our crops in accordance with the Biodynamic calendar, and utilize various JADAM and KNF stratedgies . Although we are not organic certified we follow all of the same practices and go even further. We do not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, as we care as much about the food we put in our bodies as the food we share with the public.
We sell a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, fermented goods like kimchi and sauerkraut, herb salt mixes, microgreens, and eggs from our flock of well loved, free range chickens.
